About Hong Kong Food Street

2025 Michelin Guide Recommended. Authentic Cantonese restaurant in Katy Asia Town. Spiritual successor of the OG store my parents owned in Chinatown.

Hong Kong Food Street is a chinese restaurant in Katy, Texas. It is listed at 23015 Colonial Pkwy a101, Katy, TX 77449, which places it among the local businesses of Katy that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Google also lists it under asian restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–3 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Hong Kong Food Street at (832) 212-8128; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is hkfstx.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 340 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded chinese restaurants in Katy.

Katy is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Katy follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Food: 5 stars Service: 5 stars Value: 5 stars There is a reason this is a Michelin recommended restaurant. Ate here for Father's day and had a great experience. I've been here several times, and I remember going to their old school location in Bellaire back in the day. Ordered the lobster, the server recommended the harbour style, and you cannot go wrong. This may have been some of the best lobster I've had. Everything we ordered tasted amazing. I recommend this restaurant any day of the week. We arrived and there was a long wait list outside. I thought it would take over an hour. It ended up being less than 30 mins with over 8 groups ahead of us. So this was worth the wait.

Took my family here today for a Mother's day lunch. Made reservations ahead of time so we were seated right away. The restaurant is very nice inside and the servers were very friendly and welcoming. Everything was cooked to order and was hot and fresh. My wife spoke to the owner (who we saw on YouTube) and she said he was very personable. We plan on returning soon! The menu is very extensive but there's something there for everyone.

The tofu with pork belly is one of the best, most flavorful dishes that I have tried! It was very hard to decide whether I loved the tofu more or the pork belly more. The pork belly was also truly better made (how tender and moist it was) than most places near and far. Amazing boiled fish! Amazing Mongolian beef on the sizzling plate! Solid stir-fried sweet pea leaves, but we didn't taste much of the fermented tofu flavor... Beautiful chopsticks! Good complimentary rice! Some Chinese restaurants nearby will give you poor quality rice! The roasted duck had a good flavor. However, it was much better after reheating it at home. I regret getting the more expensive Chilean sea bass. It was fishy and overcooked. Everyone thought the boiled fish (a lesser quality fish) was way better. Will definitely be back to try other dishes!

Hong Kong Food Street is a great spot if you’re craving authentic Hong Kong–style food in the Houston area. The menu has a good variety of classic Cantonese dishes and street food favorites, and everything we tried was flavorful and well-prepared. The portions were generous and the prices felt very reasonable for the quality. You can tell the dishes are made fresh and the flavors are very comforting, especially if you enjoy traditional Hong Kong style cooking. The restaurant itself is clean and modern, with a relaxed and casual atmosphere that makes it easy to enjoy a meal with friends or family. Service was friendly and the food came out fairly quickly even during busy hours. Overall this is a solid place for Hong Kong–style comfort food around Houston. Definitely a spot I’d come back to again.
